Long before CNN, CNBC and Fox Network News, culture and class dictated the manner in which ideas were expressed and education was accomplished. As a process designed to bring culture and enlightenment to the masses, starting in Lake Chautauqua, New York in 1874, the Chautauqua concept was expanded to the equivalent of a traveling tent-show that used to move across America in the late 1800's and early 1900's.

The Chautauqua covers a wide range of topics through an inquiry into "what is best" to the creation of a philosophical
system capable of reconciling science, spirit and humanism.
